Vivo T1 44W review

Its VivoT144W will be the third and lowest-priced smartphone to date within the T-series range of the company it was unveiled earlier in the year , in India. It comes with a stunning quick charging system of 44W as well as an entry-level Snapdragon chipset and an AMOLED display and a primary camera with a resolution of 50MP as well as a 5,000mAh battery that is said to last for at least an entire day. I had the chance to play around with the Vivo T144W smartphone for a little over an entire week. Here are my thoughts.

Vivo T1 44W Vivo T1 44W get the basics rightwith the 44W Vivo FlashCharge technology that allows you to rapidly charge the device it has a gorgeous appearance and design, decent sets of cameras, and reliable batteries and high performance. However, the Vivo smartphone isn't equipped with features like a high speed refresh and connectivity to 5G which are now quite standard in this segment.

The Vivo T1 44W is fashioned from unibody plastic, sporting curvy edges and a the gradient pattern. The phone also comes with matte finishes, which is effective in concealing smudges and fingerprints. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side of the spine as well as the Type-C port that charges is situated within the 3.5mm headphone connector and the speaker grille at the bottom that the device. There is also a SIM tray that is equipped with an individual slot to hold a microSD memory card, is located on the top. The left-hand side of the phone is as clear as an uncluttered slate. I was impressed by the overall design aspect and design of Vivo T1 44W. It's light and thin, as well as offering an incredible feel when held. But, I would have liked that the camera module had been smaller. It dominates the back of the phone and is a bit out of the frame which causes the phone to sway when placed flat on the floor.

Up front, the Vivo T1 44W sports a near bezel-less 6.44-inch display, which has a U-shaped notch atop for the selfie camera and FHD+ (2,400×1,080p) resolution. It’s an AMOLED panel that offers a rich contrast ratio for deeper blacks and a good dynamic range. The brightness level is also up to par, and so are the viewing angles. The overall experience could have been better had the screen offered a high refresh rate. The Vivo T1 44W refresh rate is locked at 60Hz, which only manages to refresh the screen 60 times a second. It isn’t bad but compared to 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rate screens, which have become quite common in the segment, the animation and scrolling feel a bit slow. That said, the Vivo T1 44W is Widevine L1 certified, which means it can stream HD content from video streaming platforms such as Netflix.

Its Vivo T1 44W rocks Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680 SoC underneath the under the hood. Its Snapdragon 680 chipset is considered to be a middle-range 4G chip that features a manufacturing procedure, Adreno 610 GPU, and Kyro 265 Octa cores running at 2.4GHz. The Snapdragon 680 is a solid processor that is able to handle everyday tasks like multitasking, browsing social media profiles, and playing games for fun. This is evident by the Vivo T1 44W synthetic benchmarks and Antutu V9.3.9 giving scores of 2,80,015 as well as Geekbench 5's multi-core score of 1,543. It is able to run games that require GPUs, such as BGMI but with poor graphic quality and frames per. The maximum settings for graphics that the BGMI can run on this phone is balanced, and have medium frame rates , not excessive (30fps). We suggest that you use your default Smooth graphics settings of this device to get an improved experience. The device I used was equipped with 8GB of RAM, it also comes with 6GB or 4GB RAM. It can also be upgraded to 4GB of virtual RAM using internal storage. The storage can be expanded by 1TB with microSD cards, which comes with a slot specifically for this phone.

The Vivo T1 44W packs a triple rear camera setup, which comprises a 50MP primary unit with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The setup also includes 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. There is no wide-angle sensor here, and the sensors present offer average results. The images clicked in daylight appeared a bit soft and lacked details. Now, things did look better with HDR mode, which improved the overall dynamic range, but the colours looked slightly inaccurate. The macro and depth sensors could have been better. The portrait shots looked unnatural, while close-up shots appeared slightly hazy. You need extremely stable hands to get the desired results from the handset’s macro sensor. There is a dedicated night mode as well, which adds a bit of brightness to the otherwise dull images clicked in low light. The 16MP selfie camera of the Vivo T1 44W also clicks acceptable photos in daylight, with nice skin tones.

The lights are on. It's an 5,000mAh battery, which as per the PCMark battery 3.0 test, is able to last for up to 15 hours and 32 minutes. I've been consistently getting at least a whole day's use on this Vivo smartphone on one charge, and my activities consisting of a couple of BGMI games throughout the day, casual browsing and navigating through work applications like Slack as well as Gmail. Whatever the case the device is able to be recharged quickly using the 44W Vivo FlashCharge option. It took just longer than 30 minutes to recharge this Vivo T1 44W from nothing to 50% and 45 minutes for the full charge in my use.

As for the software, the Vivo T1 44W runs FunTouch OS 12 atop Android 12 out of the box. The custom skin does pack some fancy tricks up its sleeves, but it’s riddled with bloatware. Thankfully, you can remove most of the pre-installed apps. The handset comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, which takes a fraction of a second to unlock but recognises the fingerprint at once. The scanner is also accurate and has an ideal position — at the bottom half of the screen where your thumb would rest while holding the device. The T1 44W supports 4G LTE, which worked just fine. The phone’s single bottom-firing speaker is loud and offers average sound quality.

Its Vivo T1 44W is priced in India at 1449 rupees for the option of 4GB RAM with the 8GB and 6GB RAM models are available for purchase at the price of Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 and Rs 17,999, respectively. The device is competing against the that of the OPPO K10, Moto G52, as well as the iQOO Z6 5G. It is worth noting that the Vivo T1 44W has a lot of specifications along with iQOO 6 44W. One of its closest rivals comes in the model of Moto G52 ( review) that is priced similarly to the Vivo smartphone, and comes with an impressive refresh rate on the screen and clear minimal software. The iQOO Z6 5G ( review) has a 5G-capable chip in its center, as well as 120Hz refresh rate displays as well as the OPPO K10 sports a 90Hz display. Both smartphones are a bit more expensive over those on the Vivo T1 44W and offer LCD panels, not AMOLED panels. In addition neither of the competitors such as Moto G52, Moto G52, offer a quick charging option that is 44W. If you're looking for and don't really care about screen refresh rates or 5G connectivity The Vivo T1 44W could be worthy of consideration in this market.
