Vivo V27 Pro Review

Vivo V27 Pro Review
If you're looking for a new smartphone that's a little more affordable than the likes of the OnePlus 11R, the Vivo V27 Pro could be worth considering. It's one of the brand's latest devices with an impressive design, a powerful processor and a good camera.

The phone is built around a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers great colour reproduction and supports HDR10+. Unfortunately, popular video streaming apps didn't seem to pick up this feature during our tests.

Design

The Vivo V27 Pro is a premium looking smartphone with a sleek design and a curved screen. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ and FHD+ resolutions, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The front of the phone features a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and thin bezels on all sides. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock support.

The rear of the phone is home to three cameras and a ring LED flash unit. This is an upgrade from last year's V25 Pro, which had a single camera on the back and a circular dual-LED flash on the top left corner.

Camera

Camera performance is an important part of any smartphone, and the Vivo V27 Pro delivers excellent photos. The primary camera, with a Sony IMX766V sensor, is very quick to focus and process photos, and it captures plenty of detail.

The 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro camera also take good photos, even though they have fewer pixels than the main lens. The photos were vibrant and detailed, with good details in shadows and highlights.

On the front, the selfie camera is a 50MP unit with autofocus and an Aura Light flash in the shape of a ring. The flash comes in handy for taking portraits in low light, but it's a bit too small to produce the flash ring effect we see on professional photos.

Performance

The Vivo V27 Pro is a great choice for those looking to get a smartphone that offers superior performance and an immersive display. Powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8200 chipset, the phone is capable of delivering smooth gaming experience without any lags.

The device is also equipped with a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved AMOLED display that offers good color accuracy and brightness for viewing videos or games on. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Its octa-core processor with one Cortex-A78 prime core, three Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficient cores delivers solid gaming performance. The device can easily run COD in maxed-out graphics settings with no lags and is comfortable to hold for prolonged gaming sessions.

Battery

Battery life is one of the most important things to consider when shopping for a smartphone. The Vivo V27 Pro packs a 4,600mAh unit that can easily see you through a day of heavy usage.

The device also supports 66W fast wired charging, which means it can be charged in less than an hour. This makes the device a great option for power users who want to get more out of their smartphones without having to worry about running out of juice.

The Vivo V27 Pro has a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a Smart Switch feature that optimizes the display's refresh rate based on the app you're using.

Price

The Vivo V27 Pro is one of the best-looking smartphones in its price range. It has a curved glass front and a metal frame. It also has a colour-changing glass back panel that changes hues when hit by UV light.

In terms of hardware, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 chipset with an octa-core processor. It includes a bigger Cortex-A78 core with a 3.1GHz clock, three performance Cortex-A78 cores at 3.0GHz and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.

The phone’s display supports HDR0+ and has an HDR10 mode to improve the viewing experience. It also offers a Smart Switch feature that adjusts the display refresh rate based on what you’re using, saving battery power.
