HP Spectre X360 14 Review

HP's Spectre x360 14 is a stunning business convertible that's loaded with premium features. It's also one of the best Windows laptops under 15 inches right now, offering an excellent display, performance and battery life.

This model offers a Full HD OLED display, an Intel Core i7 processor and up to 11.5 hours of battery life. Its design and keyboard are also quite good.

1. Bang & Olufsen speakers

Bang & Olufsen is known for their high-end audio systems. And it makes sense that they'd want to add a touch of their brand to a high-end laptop like the hp spectre x360 14.

The speakers are pre-amped for both laptop and tablet modes, so when you rotate the device into media presentation mode the top deck speakers turn off. This makes the audio clear and clean for both media consumption and typing on the keyboard.

Bass reproduction is good for a speaker this size, and there's plenty of volume. The mids and highs are crisp, with a reasonable amount of brightness, though there's some compression at max volume, especially for lower-pitched voices.

2. Intel Core i7 processor

There is one Intel Core i7 processor included in the hp spectre x360 14. Its performance and speed should be sufficient for most users, particularly those who use their laptops for standard computing tasks like email, browsing the web and video streaming.

But if you are a gaming enthusiast, you should look for a better processor that can deliver more power. You should also consider a higher clock-speed and advanced features like hyper-threading.

Intel uses a set of criteria to classify its Core CPUs based on their number of cores, clock speeds and cache size. These numbers are intended to give consumers an idea of what kind of performance they can expect from each.

3. Full HD OLED touchscreen

HP's Spectre x360 14 is a great choice for business users who are looking for a premium convertible that's easy to travel with. It's packed with all the premium features you want from a laptop, such as an excellent Full HD OLED touchscreen and great quad speakers.

The 3:2 aspect ratio and skinny bezels make this display a joy to use, whether you're using it as a tablet or inking. Its high-resolution 3000 x 2000 display also covers 100 percent of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color space, which is great for creative professionals.

This is one of the best displays we've seen in a Windows PC. It's also very bright at 374 nits on our light meter, a good balance between brightness and contrast.

4. 11.5-hour battery life

The HP Spectre x360 14 is a top-tier convertible laptop that delivers on its promises with great performance, a stellar 3:2 OLED touchscreen, and a sleek design. It's one of the best Windows laptops under 15 inches right now, and it may just be the best 2-in-1 you can get at this price.

It's a strong package, and you can choose from two versions that include an Intel Core i7 processor and up to 11.5 hours of battery life. This is an excellent amount of battery life, especially compared with rivals like Dell's XPS 13 2-in-1 and Microsoft's Surface Pro 3.

5. Keyboard

The HP Spectre x360 14 has a keyboard that's well-designed and surprisingly comfortable to use. This is a feature that's rarely found in convertible laptops.

The Spectre's keyboard is also one of the few I've tested that's actually very responsive, and it's a pleasure to type on. The keys feel like the kind of thing I'd expect from a premium, high-end Ultrabook.

The Spectre x360 14's premium design doesn't stop there, however. The case has diagonally cut edges with bronze accents along the base and display bezel, which give it a distinctive look.
